Saskia & I spent Saturday morning beach combing at East Coast Park as we participated in a little clean up for Community Team Works, our annual volunteer program where we go out into the community to participate in a number of projects.
Today I went to the St Josephs “Early Years Sports Day” and was there to see Saskia and her peers have a wonderful fun day at the school sports day. They played and ran, jumped and hopped their way around the school field and had a wonderful time. It was a hot and sunny day in Singapore and I think the adults ended up sweating more than the kids!
Today we celebrated Stella’s work at school this year and I had a chance to visit her classroom and witness first hand all of her hard work in Grade 1. She has been extremely busy learning about Myths & Legends, healthy foods and diets as well as enjoying several school trips and theatre visits. Her journal and story writing have been fantastic and her handwriting is coming along in leaps and bounds. Maths has been a big focus as well, and she’s now happily adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing as she progresses along with the well known Singapore Maths curriculum. […]
