After setting out from Malmö we headed south. One of the longest drives in one day and definitely amazed the girls were great throughout the entire twelve hours! After crossing the enormous bridge linking Denmark and Sweden, we travelled the length of Denmark before hopping onto a ferry at Rodbyhavn and crossing over to Germany. From there it was Autobahn all the way to Amsterdam. Today was spent wandering around the beautiful canals and streets of Amsterdam. Shame we weren’t here for longer but what a splendid place.
Our first leg of the summer road trip brings us to Malmö, lying at the southern tip of Sweden and a six hour drive from Stockholm. We stopped for a break in Gränne, home to the Swedish invention “Polkagrisen” (candy cane). We then headed down to Skåne, where the sun was shining and the beaches were crowded. Great to hook up with our friends and enjoy the lovely weather before we head onwards to Amsterdam.
