Christmas was spent at home in Singapore, partly due to work requirements for Al but also since we wanted to save up our time for more adventures over Chinese New Year. We had the usual double dip of traditional Swedish Christmas Eve (including a surprise visit by Santa, who luckily found us again!), followed the next day by our very own traditional English Christmas Day lunch. 2011 ended with a fantastic masquerade ball at the Singapore Cricket Club.
We have just finished a wonderful few days celebrating Christmas here in Singapore, with the full combination of different celebrations. Christmas Eve was done in Swedish fashion, with the full complement of Jansson’s temptation, meatballs, ham and herring. The afternoon was all the more special because Santa paid us a visit which is always so much fun when you see the girls’ reaction!
