Learning to cross the digital street

It’s a tough conversation to have. My pre-teenage child discovers that the new route to cool at school is through garnering likes and followers on social media. And I have to say no. Of course my initial, default response has been that most social media sites have a minimum age of thirteen, and therefore my child isn’t old enough.
